What the buyer wants
Within the country’s data and information operations, VMware vSphere has been used for many years as a software solution for the virtualization of systems. The procured server systems, data backup and storage systems are designed for compatibility with this software solution. The employees are trained accordingly and the operating processes are adapted to the function offered. A change of technology, which is always and currently being tested regardless of all mandatory framework conditions, would not be economically and partly also technologically reproducible in a foreseeable period of consideration of a few years, which is why the present call for tender is made in relation to manufacturers and products. Redhat’s licensing model includes packages for 4, 16 or 64 cores.

Proof of liability insurance in case of commissioning with a coverage amount per damage event of at least 500,000 EUR for personal injury and property damage and 250,000 EUR for property damage. The proof is carried out by a current confirmation of the existence of the insurance with the mentioned amounts of cover. If this is not the case, the bidder has to provide proof by confirmation of the insurer’s willingness to provide insurance with the specified amounts of cover in the case of an order. The certificate must not be older than 6 months.
