What the buyer wants
The very strong competition between modes of transport (air transport, passenger cars, carpooling, buses, etc.), the opening to competition of international rail transport since 2010 and the future ecological awareness make it imperative to react, agility and innovation. In this context, for 30 years, Voyages SNCF has offered airlines wishing to do so a rail offer that will enable customers in the air sector to travel from a selection of French and European TGV stations to major French airports. In view of the development of this sector of activity, Voyages SNCF wishes to develop this product with the help of an SI provider supporting all stages of booking management, ordering and issuing title in the context of the sale of this product by airlines. This partner will have to be able to manage the increase and the diversity of available data related to the marketing of several SNCF offers (TGV Unoui, OIGO) and a set of partner airlines. As of date, the reservation of tickets in TGVs by partner airlines is based on an automated process in 2022 allowing airline customers to book a end-to-end ticket + aircraft using a technical brick linking the different inventories. This booking process is currently based on a fixed rate regardless of the date or time of travel. The current process allows customers to manage independently the issuance of their train ticket via an online platform. SNCF counters are therefore no longer responsible for this issue, except in disturbed cases. SNCF Voyageurs wishes to improve the Train+Air product for the following reasons: • Continue the development of the current, global and segmented offer, with a digital product present throughout the LGV network (Intersectors and radials) offering different levels of service (complementarity of offer between TGV Unoui and OIGO); • Have a competitive product to attract new companies. • Have a tool that can easily evolve with the opportunities offered by the growth of the air market. SNCF Voyageurs wants to have a solution that allows different airlines to connect to the SNCF booking system. This solution will therefore have to: • integrate with airline systems and manage the operating differences between the air and rail; • To interface with the SNCF booking system by accessing the SNCF offer access portal, the entry point for the reservation of all SNCF offers (in particular TGV Unoui, Ouigo). The solution sought has several objectives: • To manage the booking and the opening of booking periods between rail and air carriers; • Publish SNCF timetables and services to airlines and their distributors • Ensure the issuance of railway tickets; • Monitor the management of changes in travellers' status and share them (Statute Boarded for controlled tickets) in accordance with SNCF and air processes; • Allow for the monitoring of invoicing of benefits; • Forward the customer's ticket to the Airline Company • Offer a simple solution so that the customer can recover his train ticket independently • Provide a rail title consultation solution to SNCF officers to address operational issues. The consultation is conducted by the Directorate of Purchasing and Circular Economy (DAGEC) of the SNCF, as agent of the subsidiary CRMS that will carry the contract. Indeed, the management of the Train + Air product is carried out by CRMS under the contract of SNCF Voyageurs.
SNCF Voyageurs provides rail capabilities purchased by airlines and pilot CRMS and facilitates the arrangement for SNCF Voyageurs.
