1. The procurement object is to procure a powerful workstation for the analysis, visualization and evaluation of high-resolution 3D and 4D image series from the confocal laser scanning microscope. The workstation serves as a central evaluation station for large and data-intensive scientific image data sets. The workstation is used in research projects in cell biology, biomaterials science, 3D cell culture, tissue engineering and other imaging applications.

In particular, it is intended to process Z-stacks and time series, enable 3D reconstructions and quantitative image analyses, and support the creation of publishable representations. Functional requirements The system (hardware and software) must be particularly suitable for:

• efficient processing of large image data sets up to project-related data sets in the terabyte range
• 3D and 4D visualization of Z-stacks and time-lapse recordings
• Segmentation and analysis of cells and tissues
• quantitative image analysis
• export of high-resolution images and analysis data in common scientific formats
• use by multiple authorized user accounts with suitable access control 4. Basic technical requirements Require a system with the following basic characteristics:
• technical suitability for Windows 11 Pro 64-bit; a Windows license is not part of the scope of delivery
• multi-core processor platform suitable for computationally intensive image analysis
• dedicated powerful graphics solution for 3D/4D visualization and GPU-accelerated analysis
• sufficiently dimensioned RAM for large image data sets
• powerful local RAM and intermediate memory
• suitable network and data interfaces for connection to LSM, central data storage and university network
• suitable security and access mechanisms for operation in university IT 5. The scope of services includes in particular:
• Delivery of the complete workstation including the hardware required in the specification of services as well as software and license components
• Installation and configuration of the agreed drivers and software components
• Integration into the planned network and memory structures in coordination with the customer
• complete documentation
• operational handover with proof of function 6. Special notes
• Required power supply, cooling, network requirements and other environmental conditions must be indicated in the offer.
• The integration into existing IT infrastructures must be documented. Building conditions and interfaces shall be clearly identified. The system integration owed by the provider only includes the hardware, software and network parts expressly required in the specification.
