The business unit IT is responsible for the IT infrastructure for all departments in the district administration. The aim is to design and further expand networking based on current standards in a fail-safe, up-to-date and efficient manner. Furthermore, IT has the task of equipping all departments of the district administration with a public WLAN. Currently, about 80% of the buildings are already equipped. A framework agreement is to be concluded for the procurement and replacement of Extreme Network components.
