What the buyer wants
The assignment includes the delivery of a complete solution consisting of hardware, associated service and support agreements and hourly banking.
The solution will be used within the Foundation University of Jönköping as a parent organisation including the six wholly owned subsidiaries: School of Health, School of Education and Communications, Jönköping International Business School, University of Technology, Higher Education and Jönköping University Enterprise and the partially owned company Swedish Metal Casting Excellence Center (SMEC). The products are selected to fit into the Buyer’s existing infrastructure.
The University’s data center consists of two separate data centers. The buyer’s server environment forms a critical part of the overall IT infrastructure within the University. The existing infrastructure is structured and standardised based on specific server platforms, administrative tools, monitoring functions, spare parts management and established operating, support and lifecycle management procedures.
To ensure continued high availability, information security, performance and cost-effective management, the products acquired are fully compatible with the existing environment. For the same reason, the products need to be identified by specific article numbers. Item numbers are used to ensure that offered products fit into the Buyer’s existing infrastructure. It is therefore considered necessary and proportionate to meet the buyer’s need for a cohesive, secure and efficient IT environment.
The assignment shall be carried out to the extent and in accordance with the requirements and conditions set out in the procurement document. The content and scope of the assignment is specified in the specification of the procurement document and in Annex Product Specification.
