In particular, a valid ISO/IEC-27001 certificate (preferably based on BSI-IT basic protection), a current C5 test or an equivalent documented proof are considered as suitable proof.

The geographical, organisational and factual scope of the proof SHALL cover the offered service, including the components essential for its operation, or identify remaining gaps transparently. The system provided, including the services to be provided, is operated by a provider whose information security management system (ISMS) is covered by a valid ISO/IEC 27001 certificate (preferably based on BSI-IT basic protection), or a demonstrably equivalent certification.

For the cloud service offered, a valid C5 certificate MUST be available at least on the applicable basic criteria. The bidder shall disclose the scope, the examination period, the type of test, and any exceptions identified and complementary customer measures. In the absence of a C5 certificate, the bidder SHALL provide equivalent service-related evidence demonstrating the implementation and effective operation of the information security controls relevant to cloud performance.
